To help keep your Yu ID secure, we recommend setting up a passkey.
A passkey allows you to sign in without a password by using your device's biometric authentication or screen lock. Compared with passwords, passkeys provide stronger protection against phishing and credential-stuffing attacks that take advantage of reused passwords.
After setting up a passkey, make sure you can successfully sign in with it before deleting your password.
If you choose to sign in with a password, two-step verification is required.
You can set up two-step verification using an authentication app, SMS, or email. Once setup is complete, a recovery code will be displayed. Be sure to store this code in a safe place, as you will need it if you are unable to receive or access your authentication code.
If you are unable to sign in with your passkey, select "Forgot your password?" on the sign-in screen to reset your password. Even after resetting your password, you will still be required to use two-step verification when signing in with a password.
